Project Description
This initiative is promoted by Amici dei Popoli and One World One Future Trust (OWOFT) with support from the Emilia-Romagna Region, addresses food security and education challenges in Kajiado County. This collaborative effort benefits Shelter Children’s Home students and the surrounding local families, aiming to boost food production through the expansion of a vegetable garden, the introduction of a drip irrigation system, and the distribution of vertical garden starter kits for sustainable home farming.
On the education front, the project focuses on infrastructure expansion, including the construction of a classroom for Shelter Children’s Home’s junior secondary school, and advanced teacher training aligned with Agenda 2030 Goal 4 (Quality Education) to empower educators and promote gender equality. Together, these initiatives foster resilience and self-sufficiency, ensuring access to nutritious food and quality education for vulnerable children and families.
